DC Business Owner Among Women Leaders From Coast-To-Coast Named to 2014-2015 WIPP Board of Directors
WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 2, 2014) – Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), the nation’s largest nonpartisan women’s business group, is pleased to announce the appointments of new directors to its 2014 – 2015 WIPP Board of Directors. Those chosen to serve are prominent women business leaders from across the country with strong track records of success both in business as well as in advocacy. The Board of Directors guides the organization in its programming and public policy efforts focused on key issues facing women-owned businesses.
Joining the WIPP Board of Directors is Courtney Fairchild, the President & CEO of Global Services. She is joined by Roz Alford, Founder and Co-Principal, ASAP Staffing Solutions Group, LLC; Dr. Faye Coleman, President Y CEO, Westover Consultants, Inc.; and Ana Harvey, President & CEO, Harvey Hudson Group
“These women are leaders who understand and exemplify the importance of engaging women business owners in the public policy process,” said WIPP President Barbara Kasoff. “Each of these women understands how legislation can impact a company’s bottom line and ability to grow. They are respected leaders both locally and nationally.”
As members of WIPP’s governance board, they will provide strategic counsel on how WIPP can strengthen the impact of women-owned businesses in economic and political spheres of influence. They will work to ensure the sustainability and success of WIPP, on behalf of its nearly 4.7 million business women and 78 national business organizations, by bringing their unique perspective on top economic growth concerns to our nation’s policymakers and activating this fast growing demographic in the electoral process.
