Fairchild’s Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Participation Births a New Direction for Global Services

Washington, D.C. (January 2, 2018) – Global  Services is proud to announce that President & CEO, Courtney Fairchild, has received a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the Babson Cohort of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses.

Created in 2009, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses was established to provide entrepreneurs with education, financial capital, and business support services to promote economic opportunities. Since its inception, the program has reached small business owners in all 50 states, resulting in 8,000 program graduates, and 100+ local and national partners.

This fall, Fairchild joined the largest class to date, one hundred and forty-six entrepreneurs from 38 states, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands in the program to address personal business growth barriers; construct growth plans; and aim for a more prosperous future. In a mere eleven weeks, these small business owners completed a blended online and face-to-face program, reaping the benefits of guidance towards a customized growth plan; one-on-one business counseling; and a network of peer support comprised of fellow business owners and leaders in the business world.

“I’m thankful to Goldman Sachs and Babson for providing Global Services with this unique opportunity to focus on techniques for growing our business,” said Fairchild. “It is rare to be able to concentrate time working with other like-minded, supportive CEOs, along with knowledgeable faculty and advisors on new growth strategies.”

Fairchild, amongst other participants, was challenged by the program to heavily analyze the benefits of her company’s pre-existing services and/or products, and revitalize the offerings for clients. “We are looking forward to bringing our new productized proposal services created through the 10KSB program to market in early 2018,” Fairchild announced. “We are certain that this line will augment our existing services, provide more value to our clients, and lead to a considerable revenue increase over the coming years.”
